I have a strong connection to the Great Bear, whether we are talking about the spirit animal or the constellation. From a very early age, I was given the nickname of Bear and through my life have discovered that I have been unconsciously led my life in line with many of its characteristics. 

The Bear is wise and enduring - experienced and trusted. I have a strong connection to the earth and its cycles. Nature: the earth, its people and oceans, agriculture and farming are all areas that have been of strong importance to me. These are areas I strive to help through providing a narrative voice for its causes and survival. Like the Bear, I have developed a strength and confidence that have helped me survive crises and problems, and hopefully have given others the same. However the strongest lessons I have learned from this has been to trust my instincts and be honest with myself.

Ursa Major - The Big Dipper: It’s been in the northern sky from the beginning, guiding travelers, inspiring poets and dreamers alike. If you draw a line from the last two stars in the dipper. It will connect to Polaris - The North Star. The guiding light. My North Star goals include going the extra mile for clients, family, and friends, fairness to all, and measuring all things against my beliefs and acting appropriately.
